OMG!! Do Not Ill-treat Yourself

Mothers are a selfless lot. If you had been a lady, who took good care of yourself, and are recently into Motherhood, you may surprised at how much you have changed, and are neglecting yourself. Those days when you tried variety of hair styles, nail colors, not to mention the trendy dresses you owned, all seem very uninteresting, to you now. For now, you are only bothered about your child and his or her well being. If you had sacrificed your desk job to be a loving mother to your kid, then I must say, you have climbed the first step to ill treating yourself. Take a resolve to let it be the last.
If you have dark circles under your eyes, are always tired or are not enthusiastic about a passion that you pursued in the past, it is an indication that you must set aside time for yourself. Take breaks, use Social networking sites, like Facebook, connect with people, enjoy high quality discussions, relax. Well, that is quite a list, and all seem to be impossible to do. To tell you the truth, its not!! All you have to do is, start giving greater importance to yourself again. Think it this way, If you are unwell, who will look after your child, if you are unhappy, your child can never be happy. So it is important to be satisfied with self, be at peace with oneself.
There are many ways to be at peace, with Meditation being one of them. Well, there are quite a few articles online that talk about what Meditation is and how to benefit from it. Preachings of Osho on Meditation may confuse a person initially, but on a deeper and thorough read, you will be able to understand the real meaning of it. I enjoyed reading and re-reading Osho's preachings. You might be surprised, that with each read, you will be deciphering new messages that may also help you take difficult decisions of life. I am not saying that Osho's preachings are the only way to attain peace, I say that, this is the method, I found helpful to retain my character, the method that is suitable to you, will have to be searched by you and you alone. Remember,

Moms and Spiritual Encouragement: My Take On Spiritual Matters

I had a person, who was an initiator at 'Satsang' come to our house, preaching ways of Meditation. I was quite impressed by his preaching which started on a good note saying, Meditation has answers to all questions that our 'Atma' or Soul poses. This would have been good, if he would have ended with that note. He gave a good illustration that our soul which is very pure and like God, is covered in layers of bad habits just like an Onion that has covers. He says that, Once we are able to 'uncover' each layer one by one, we will able to able to connect with God and become more spiritual and at peace, we elevate our-self from sufferings and are able to handle difficulties better. Here was where I started questioning him. First point, if we are all having God within our-self, why is this exclusive need to connect. As far as I am concerned, we are all connected to God and each other, when ever we help each other, sometimes surprising ourselves while lending a helping hand.
How many times has anyone felt a sudden urge to help an aged person cross the road? How many times have you felt the need to just give your seat in a crowded bus to a tired or aged person? I personally feel that whenever we do these acts of kindness, it is God who is acting through us. When we have such a good method to connect to God, why should we find a secluded spot and meditate. He explained in terms of astral body and its awakening. His take is we are all light forms, trapped in our body. To be able to free our-self from this bonding and restrictions that body poses on us, we have to use Meditation, which needs detachment from our relatives, surroundings and materialistic things.

We argued for very long time. He had stated that idol worship limits ones ability to connect. Even pooja or prayer that is performed will not be able to give this form of peace to a person. But, if one is truthful in their endeavor towards prayers or attending a prayer ceremony, it would really have some effect. He also said, he experienced God and Peace, which can never be explained in words, it has to be experienced through meditation alone. His take, that we need guidance to be able to connect to God and experience peace is also true to some point, but when he started stating that an initiator or Guru, who guides through these sessions of Meditation will be able to take a person higher and faster and towards God, it seemed far fetched. I feel that ability to connect to God lies within a person and is not necessarily dependent on a Guide or his words, I remembered the old saying, we can only take the Horse to a Pond, but cannot make it drink water. How much is a person able to connect to God, when they have to constantly listen to Guide's voice and instructions.

I may be wrong, but I really could not get myself to agree that Guruji is needed. If it is a meditation that is required to awaken a Kundalini, then yes, for sure, we must be guided well, for we are dealing with enormous potential of our subconscious mind there. But what this person preached was, We use will power to cleanse ourselves off the bad habits, which does not need a guide, according to me. Every person knows what is right and what is wrong, how many times has a person felt strongly that a decision is correct, without having to reason out why this decision must be put in place? I feel that whenever we have to explain ourselves that this work has to be done, such a decision has to be taken, we are suppressing God's voice. Our discussion was so long, I apologized to this person for eating through his schedules for the day. He was very polite and said, if I am unable to convince you, it is my fault, if I was impressive, it was my Gurji's greatness. This shows the faith this person has in his Guruji and his words.

A Typical Stay at Home Mom's Day

What might be a mom's day like? Who is balancing kids, work as well as a WAH job. Well, let me tell you it is not easier to work around when your kids are craving for attention and do things that need you to interfere. Fight with a sibling if there is more than one child, attention ccentric child if it is a first child, they come in all types. You need n't even imagine the things they set to work at.

After one is done with all the chores, they have to sit to work. Some time on  Facebook is needed to relax, then it is time for some serious work. As soon one as one has begun, it is almost time for lunch. Omg! have chores again!!

There is more to handle when kids come home tired and find you hooked to computer. Time for kids, time for spouse, time to cook, time for dishes, .. list goes on and on. It is women who have the ability to manage all of it with a smile on their face.
Women are born with multitasking abilities, and Kudos to all women for showing this skill.

Some Tips to Relax a Little after Making Money Online

A women can handle more stress than a man, but where is all this leading us into. Women are always bearing the brunt of this misconception. Everybody gets stressed equally, and need some time off. making money online is important but equally important is health and well being of a person. Here I have listed tips that were useful for me, when ever i felt very stressed out with handling all the work along with WAH job.
  • Listen to music while working, this gets some stress off the mind. Play your favorite music that you used to listen to, or choose one that has good memories associated with it.
  • Listen to a devotional talk or prayer. Prayers have immense power because they attract positive energy which help one overcome feelings of despair that are a result of being stressed out.
  • More leisurely time can be spent at a spa, or even better is to have a spa at home. Kits and accessories are in abundance in the market for the same.
  • Easier is to take a break from work that is causing this stress. See it this way, You can handle it once you have renewed  your energy and can approach this work with new ideas that help in lapping it up faster. It is easier said than done, but it always pays to take a little break. By break i mean break, no thoughts about work at all. Browse pictures, vidoes on web, just let your  thoughts wander about for a while.
  • Fall asleep!! I know it is impossible, but if a person is able to sleep, they can get their subconscious mind to work and help find a solution to problem that is causing this stress. I have tried this!!
